The History of Adam Hats

Adam Hats Corporation

Adam Hats was an American manufacturer and retailer of hats that was founded in 1924.

Adam Hats of Fifth Avenue were produced by Miller Brothers as the budget brand of the day and were very popular in the 1940’s and 1950’s.

They manufactured a variety of hats, including the traditional fedora, and pork pie hat. In late spring of each year, Adam Hats promoted straw hats for the summer.

One of the big reasons Adam Hats were so popular was they made a dependable hat for considerably less than the “big name” makers. They also made sure that they copied the styles of the most popular hat makers . . . and the “elite” models of the company, the Executive and the Aristocrat, were of a quality that could compete with Stetson, Knox and company.
